Having been here many times and never been disappointed no matter what I order on the menu. The people who work here seem extremely happy to be here, and that is infectious with us as customers... My daughters like it as much as I do too, which helps!

10/10 HIGHLY recommended. Their spicy creamy vegan ramen is SO GOOD, they hooked it up with the noodles too . This restaurant is not vegan, but the fact that their vegan option is of such high quality is a testament to the level of talent in their kitchen! Hats off to the chef and the staff, food came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Our server attended to us as soon as we all finished our food, she was attentive and helpful. Will definitely be coming back every time we visit

Food service ambience excellent Establishment set up just as it was when they first opened Went for lunch, Ramen with soup not today, but I had that Hayashi Ramen instead was actually pretty good My lunch buddy had chicken and curry I guess. I'm not really sure what to say on that because I didn't try it. You can't go to a restaurant and not have fries. Their french fries are excellent. Fun fact - it's been years now since we've gotten over the pandemic however, the screens that separate diners are still up. Maybe that's a good thing since as of today June 2024 in Honolulu, Hawaii, they say Covid is coming back. I don't know! Just saying.

I recently dined at Tanaka Ramen and had an exceptional experience, thanks to Min and Wen! I ordered the Classic Ramen, and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and generous. If you're looking for a fantastic ramen spot with great service, I highly recommend Tanaka Ramen.

I actually LOVE this place so much. I have been here several times throughout the past few years and it just never misses for me. The ambiance is very nice, especially after they removed the plastic sheets separating each table, the place feels much more lively. The service is pretty straight forward, you go in, indicate party count, and they give you table. You order and so on. The food is delicious, I usually always get the takoyaki here because I love it. It is not the most authentic as takoyaki is typically made in a special molded pan, but this one, I can tell, is fried. The soft shell crab that I randomly decided to try this time was slightly disappointing, nothing special and I wouldn't personally reorder. The chicken karaage curry done was solid, never misses for me and the karaage is always fried perfectly and very juicy and delicious. I have also ordered other ramens from them and it is always delicious as well. The price point is super fair and always leaves me more than satisfied.

My grandma and I were walking around the mall and came across this little hole in the wall shop. When we walked in we were seated immediately and had drinks at our table within minutes. The food came out fast and was piping hot, except the tofu salad of course. The chicken was really meaty and had minimal breading which was nice. The chicken bun was the karaage chicken in a bun with lettuce and spicy mayo like sauce. The tofu salad was very refreshing. For the price, you can't go wrong! I highly recommend checking this spot out if you're looking for some solid appetizers. Aloha!

Had a delightful experience at Tanaka Ramen! The dishes were simple and straightforward, hitting all the right notes of flavor. We tried two bowls of ramen, each one very tasty, accompanied by perfectly salted edamame. Not only was the food reasonably priced, but the decor was inviting and well-thought-out, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance. The water served was refreshingly good, which is always a nice touch. However, it's worth noting that there's no restroom available on-site, which might be a slight inconvenience. Overall, a great spot for a casual and delicious meal. Highly recommend trying it out!

We came here when it was cold and windy. Service was awesome and they were attentive and nice. I got the spicy vegan ramen and my friend got the won ton soup. We also got an appetizer but I can't remember lol. Great food, great service and definitely will be back again.

This is my boyfriend's go to place for ramen. I find that the Ala moana location is better than the kapolei location in terms of the flavors. When I went to the kapolei location, the broth was pretty bland and I didn't get anything different. In terms of service, the ala moana location is always busy. There will be a few minute wait so don't come here when you are starving because chances are, you'll wait for longer than 15 mins. However once you are seated, you get your food pretty fast. The ramen here I would give a solid 8/10.
